Today, we are excited to share with you an exclusive interview with Jess from Literary, etc., as part of the Blog Friends Forever Blog Hop! Jess is an avid reader and book blogger who shares her love for literature with her followers. We had the chance to ask Jess a few questions about her blog and her passion for books.
1. Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what inspired you to start your blog, Literary, etc.?
I’m Jess, a book lover and blogger based in the US. I’ve been an avid reader since I was a child and my passion for books inspired me to start Literary, etc. I wanted a platform where I could share my thoughts on the books I read and connect with fellow book lovers. It’s been an amazing journey so far and I love being a part of the book blogging community.
2. What do you love most about blogging and interacting with your readers?
One of the things I love most about blogging is the opportunity to connect with other readers who share my passion for books. I love hearing their thoughts on the books I review and exchanging recommendations with them. It’s always exciting to have discussions about our favorite books and authors and discover new reads through their suggestions.
3. Do you have a favorite genre or author that you always gravitate towards?
I’m a huge fan of historical fiction and I always find myself drawn to books set in the past. I love immersing myself in different time periods and exploring the lives of characters from history. As for authors, I have a few favorites, including Kate Morton, Ken Follett, and Philippa Gregory. Their storytelling always captivates me and I never get tired of reading their books.
4. What is one book that has had a significant impact on you and why?
One book that has had a significant impact on me is “The Book Thief” by Markus Zusak. It’s a powerful story set during World War II, told from the perspective of Death. The writing is beautiful and haunting, and the characters are unforgettable. This book has stayed with me long after I finished it and it made me appreciate the power of storytelling even more.
5. Finally, do you have any upcoming projects or exciting plans for your blog that you can share with us?
I’m always looking for new ways to connect with my readers and share my love for books. I have some fun giveaways and book recommendations planned for the coming months, so be sure to follow Literary, etc. for updates. I’m also working on some new content that I hope will engage and inspire my followers, so stay tuned!
