Santa Claus may have come and gone, but I’m still holding out hope that he didn’t forget to bring me some of the top books on my wishlist. Whether you believe in the jolly old man or not, there’s no denying the magic of receiving a new book to dive into. Here are the top ten books I hope Santa brought me last night:
1. “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens – This bestselling novel has been on my radar for months, and I am dying to see what all the hype is about.
2. “The Silent Patient” by Alex Michaelides – A psychological thriller that has garnered rave reviews, this is definitely at the top of my must-read list.
3. “Normal People” by Sally Rooney – This coming-of-age story has been recommended to me by so many people, and I can’t wait to finally get my hands on it.
4. “Educated” by Tara Westover – A memoir about overcoming adversity and finding one’s own path, this book has been on my wishlist for far too long.
5. “Circe” by Madeline Miller – As a fan of mythology, I am eager to read this retelling of the story of the Greek goddess Circe.
