Armchair BEA 2012: BEA Books on My List + a Giveaway!

For book lovers who can’t attend the annual Book Expo America (BEA), there’s always Armchair BEA – a virtual event where bloggers and readers can participate in discussions, interviews, and giveaways from the comfort of their own homes. This year, Armchair BEA coincides with the 2012 BEA, allowing those who can’t make it to the convention the chance to still be a part of the excitement.

One of the highlights of BEA is the opportunity to discover new and upcoming books from a wide range of publishers. In the spirit of that, I’ve put together a list of BEA books that I’m most excited about. These are titles that have caught my eye and that I can’t wait to get my hands on:

1. “Gone Girl” by Gillian Flynn – This psychological thriller has been getting rave reviews and I can’t wait to see what all the buzz is about.

2. “The Age of Miracles” by Karen Thompson Walker – A debut novel about a young girl coming of age during a catastrophic event that slows down the Earth’s rotation.

3. “Wild” by Cheryl Strayed – A memoir about one woman’s journey of self-discovery and healing as she hikes the Pacific Crest Trail.

4. “Are You My Mother?” by Alison Bechdel – A graphic memoir exploring the author’s relationship with her mother and the process of becoming an artist.

5. “The Chaperone” by Laura Moriarty – A historical novel set in the 1920s about a young Louise Brooks and her chaperone.

These are just a few of the books that have piqued my interest, and I can’t wait to dive into them.

As part of Armchair BEA, I’m also hosting a giveaway of one of the books on my list. To enter, simply leave a comment below telling me which BEA book you’re most excited about. The winner will be chosen at random and announced at the end of Armchair BEA.

Armchair BEA is a great way for book lovers to connect with each other, discover new books, and be a part of the bookish community even if they can’t make it to BEA in person. I’m looking forward to participating in all the fun events and discussions, and I hope you’ll join me in celebrating the joy of reading!
