There are certain book series that we fall in love with and wish they would never end. Unfortunately, there are some series that come to a close with limited books, leaving fans wanting more. Here are eight completed series that I wish had more books in English:

1. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – The dystopian trilogy captured the hearts of readers with its captivating storyline and strong protagonist, Katniss Everdeen. Many fans were left wanting more after the third book, “Mockingjay,” was released.

2. The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer – This sci-fi retelling of classic fairy tales was a refreshing and unique take on well-known stories. With only four books in the series, fans were left wanting more of Cinder and her band of misfits.

3. The Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo – The magical world of the Grisha captured readers with its rich world-building and complex characters. While Bardugo has continued to expand the Grishaverse with other series, fans still long for more books set in this world.

4. The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater – This series about a group of friends searching for a legendary king was filled with mystery and intrigue. Stiefvater’s lyrical prose and captivating characters left fans craving more after the fourth book, “The Raven King.”

5. The Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare – This prequel series to “The Mortal Instruments” followed the adventures of Tessa Gray, Will Herondale, and Jem Carstairs in Victorian London. While the trilogy came to a satisfying conclusion, many fans would love to see more stories set in this time period.

6. The Chaos Walking Trilogy by Patrick Ness – This dystopian series about a world where everyone can hear each other’s thoughts was a thrilling and emotional journey. While the trilogy wrapped up nicely, fans would love to see more of Todd and Viola’s adventures.

7. The Daughter of Smoke and Bone Trilogy by Laini Taylor – This fantasy series about a girl caught between two worlds was a beautiful and immersive read. Taylor’s lush writing and imaginative world-building left fans wanting more after the third book, “Dreams of Gods & Monsters.”

8. The Legend Trilogy by Marie Lu – This dystopian series about a prodigy and a rebel fighting against a corrupt government was action-packed and engaging. While the trilogy concluded with “Champion,” many fans would love to see more of June and Day’s story.

While these completed series may have satisfied readers with their conclusions, there’s no denying that fans would love to see more books set in these beloved worlds. Whether it’s a sequel, prequel, or spin-off, we can only hope that these authors will revisit these series and give fans more of the stories they love.
