As an avid reader, I am always on the lookout for new books to add to my ever-growing collection. With so many upcoming releases to choose from, I find myself in need of some help deciding which ones to prioritize. Here are five upcoming books that have caught my eye, and I could use some assistance in selecting which ones to read first.

1. “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” by V.E. Schwab
V.E. Schwab is known for her captivating storytelling and unique worlds, and “The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue” is shaping up to be another masterpiece. The novel follows the life of a young woman who makes a Faustian bargain to live forever but is cursed to be forgotten by everyone she meets. The premise alone has me intrigued, but with so many other books on my TBR list, I’m not sure if this one should be at the top.

2. “Project Hail Mary” by Andy Weir
Andy Weir, the author of “The Martian,” is back with another sci-fi adventure that promises to be just as thrilling and suspenseful. “Project Hail Mary” follows a lone astronaut on a desperate mission to save humanity from extinction, and the early reviews have been glowing. While I’m a fan of Weir’s work, I’m not sure if I’m in the mood for a high-stakes space opera right now.

3. “People We Meet on Vacation” by Emily Henry
Emily Henry’s “Beach Read” was a hit with readers and critics alike, and her newest novel, “People We Meet on Vacation,” is generating a lot of buzz. The story follows two estranged friends who take an annual vacation together to try and repair their relationship. With its mix of humor, romance, and heartwarming moments, this book seems like the perfect summer read. However, I’m not sure if I’m in the mood for a light and fluffy romance at the moment.

4. “The Guncle” by Steven Rowley
Steven Rowley’s “Lily and the Octopus” was a tearjerker that resonated with many readers, and his new novel, “The Guncle,” promises to be just as emotional and poignant. The story follows a gay uncle who takes in his niece and nephew after the sudden death of their parents, and explores themes of grief, family, and love. While I’m a sucker for a heartfelt story, I’m not sure if I’m emotionally prepared to dive into a book that will undoubtedly make me cry.

5. “The Plot” by Jean Hanff Korelitz
“The Plot” by Jean Hanff Korelitz is a psychological thriller that has been compared to the works of Gillian Flynn and Liane Moriarty. The novel follows a struggling writer who steals a plot from a deceased student, only to find himself entangled in a web of deception and deadly consequences. With its dark and twisty premise, this book seems like a page-turner that will keep me on the edge of my seat. However, I’m not sure if I’m in the mood for a suspenseful thriller right now.

With so many enticing books on the horizon, I could use some help deciding which ones to prioritize on my reading list. If you have any recommendations or thoughts on these upcoming releases, I would greatly appreciate your input. Happy reading!
