As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on all the books I have read in 2016. From gripping thrillers to heartwarming novels, my year in books has been filled with unforgettable stories that have left a lasting impact on me.

One of the standout books of the year for me was “The Girl on the Train” by Paula Hawkins. This psychological thriller had me on the edge of my seat from start to finish, as I followed the gripping story of a troubled woman who becomes entangled in a mysterious disappearance. The novel kept me guessing until the very end, and I couldn’t put it down.

Another book that left a lasting impression on me was “The Nest” by Cynthia D’Aprix Sweeney. This novel follows the dysfunctional Plumb family as they grapple with a family inheritance that threatens to tear them apart. The characters were so well-written and relatable, and I found myself getting emotionally invested in their lives and relationships.

On a lighter note, “Me Before You” by Jojo Moyes was a touching and heartwarming read that had me in tears by the end. The story of a young woman who becomes a caregiver for a disabled man and ends up falling in love with him was both heartbreaking and uplifting. The book was beautifully written, and I couldn’t help but be moved by the characters’ journey.

As the year comes to an end, I am grateful for the escape that books have provided me throughout the year. Whether I was looking for a thrilling adventure or a heartwarming story, there was always a book waiting to whisk me away to another world. I am excited to see what books 2017 has in store for me and look forward to discovering new stories and authors that will captivate me just as much as the books of 2016 did. Cheers to another year of reading and the countless adventures that await between the pages of a book.
