In the ever-expanding world of literature, there are countless authors who have achieved mainstream popularity and acclaim. Despite their widespread recognition and following, there are still some authors that have somehow slipped through the cracks for many readers. As an avid reader, I often find myself drawn to lesser-known or niche authors, which has resulted in me missing out on some of the biggest names in literature. Here are the top ten mainstream popular authors that I still have not read in English:
1. J.K. Rowling – As the author of the wildly successful Harry Potter series, J.K. Rowling is a household name in the literary world. Her books have captured the hearts of readers around the globe, but for some reason, I have yet to pick up one of her novels.
2. Stephen King – Known as the master of horror, Stephen King has written numerous bestsellers that have been adapted into iconic films and TV shows. Despite his status as one of the most prolific authors of our time, I have never delved into his extensive body of work.
3. George R.R. Martin – The author of the epic A Song of Ice and Fire series, which inspired the hit TV series Game of Thrones, George R.R. Martin is a literary titan whose works have spawned a massive fanbase. However, I have yet to immerse myself in his complex and intricate fantasy world.
4. Nicholas Sparks – With his heartfelt and romantic novels, Nicholas Sparks has become a go-to author for lovers of romance fiction. While his books have been turned into beloved films, I have somehow managed to overlook his work.
5. Dan Brown – Dan Brown is renowned for his gripping thrillers, such as The Da Vinci Code and Angels & Demons, which have captivated readers with their blend of mystery, history, and conspiracy. Despite the hype surrounding his novels, I have not yet cracked open one of his books.

As a reader always on the lookout for new and exciting voices, I hope to eventually discover the magic and mastery of these celebrated authors and add their books to my reading list.
